Description

Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era of micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler™ technology platform. This platform enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by providing manufacturing processes and a materials library that are inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods. It unlocks MEMS manufacturing not only for device classes that could never be produced by semiconductor methods, but also for entirely new categories. Furthermore, this digital platform is fully programmable in the way 3D printing is digital—but whereas 3D printing produces parts of a single material using a single process, the Matter Compiler™ technology platform is a multi-process, multi-material system: bits and raw materials go in, and complete, functional micromachines come out. The Atomic Machines team has also created an exciting first device—made possible only through the Matter Compiler™ technology platform—that we will be unveiling to the world soon. Our offices are in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California. About The Role: As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packing a variety of mechanical assemblies using hand tools and bench top equipment. Verify the integrity of materials to be assembled according to the assembly procedure and/or work instruction. Assemble components in specific orders, using the proper tooling and equipment specified in the procedures / work instruction instructions. Visual inspection of components and/or assembly according to procedure / work instruction. Identify and report defective components. Ensure the accuracy of work-in-process associated with the work cell. Maintain cleanliness in your work area and surrounding workspace. Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business. What You’ll Need: Knowledge of ISO9001. Ability to use various hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, and cutters tools like torque drivers, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Strong ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in reading procedures, interpreting visual aids, and following mechanical and electrical drawings. Precision mechanical component placement and assembly. High School Diploma or equivalent education. Bonus: experience in gloveboxes and working under a microscope with small parts. Hourly Rate Range $35—$40 USD
