Mechanic - Heavy Equipment - (Farmers, Branch, TX) Our mechanic will be assigned to a dedicated concrete paving crew and will be with them full time. - Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment - Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for and cost of repairs - Tests, installs new or repaired unit Our mechanic will be assigned to a dedicated concrete paving crew and will be with them full time. – Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment - Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for and cost of repairs Tests, installs new or repaired unit back into equipments Performs minor tune ups to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the equipments Understand system controls, operation, and configurations Familiar with transpiration of equipment To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two+ years related mechanic experience and/or training Mechanic experience slipform pavers, concrete places, and cure/texture machines - Experience with Gunner & Zimmerman (G&Z) and Gomaco are a huge plus Mechanical, welding, and electrical experience preferred - For safety reasons, it is imperative that the employee be able to read and speak fluent English Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
