Medical Assistant- General Surgery Associates

Harrison County Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. \r\nThe Medical Assistant is responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks: such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks.\r\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\r\n\r\nMedical Assistant Degree Preferred\r\n1 year of experience Preferred\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\r\n\r\nSKILLS:\r\n\r\nAbility to work independently and with groups.\r\nAnalytical and problem solving skills.\r\nAnnual CPR recertification\r\nAbility to operate office equipment: computer, printers, fax machine, copy machine, telephone\r\nGood knowledge of medical terminology\r\nUse of correct terminology, spelling and grammar in documentation.\r\nAbility to communicate verbally and in writing with various healthcare professionals, patients, families, and employees.\r\n\r\nAs an affiliate of Norton® Healthcare, we enjoy the best of both worlds - access to all the resources of the largest health system in Louisville, while retaining local ownership and leadership in daily operations.\r\nHarrison County Hospital has continuously served the people of Harrison County since 1950.
