The Opportunity In this full-time, on-site role, the Medical Assistant provides both clinical support and care coordination. Reporting to the Director of Medical Services, you will assist with medical tasks while managing clients' care plans, referrals, and treatment continuity. Your dual role helps ensure a seamless, holistic approach to each client's recovery journey. What You'll Do Clinical Support: Administer injectable medications and perform phlebotomy within Montana's allowable scope of practice Support onsite medical care for PHP and IOP clients Monitor and record vital signs with precision Ensure clinical compliance, infection control, and safety protocols Assist providers with exams, procedures, and medication management Administrative Support: Schedule medical and clinical appointments, both in-person and via telehealth Maintain accurate client records in Kipu EMR (training provided as needed) Assist with client intakes, group session setup, and client flow coordination Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support integrated care delivery Why Join Healing Rock Recovery A uniquely dual role — you will directly influence both clinical care and system integration in ways a standard MA position does not offer Mission-driven work with a team committed to changing lives through evidence-based addiction treatment A supportive, collaborative environment with real opportunities for professional growth and training in behavioral health Competitive pay and a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and family leave Requirements What You Bring Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current CMA or RMA certification Proficiency in administering injections and performing phlebotomy within Montana's scope of practice Experience with electronic medical record systems (Kipu experience a plus, not required) Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to engage with clients in recovery with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality Capacity to coordinate care across medical, behavioral health, and social service systems Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Full-time, on-site availability in Billings, MT Benefits Compensation and Benefits $39,000 to $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, public holidays, and maternity and paternity leave.
