The position assists in the collection of laboratory specimens, performs instrument maintenance and recordkeeping, and acts as a resource person for issues of laboratory services. Minimum Qualifications Required Educational Degree : Associate Degree Major/Area of Concentration: Medical Laboratory Technology Preferred Education: Medical Laboratory Technology, or equivalent laboratory training/experience or provisions meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA Regulations 42CFR493.1489 Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification must be in place or obtained within 6 months of hire.
