What you'll do

Take medical histories and accompany physicians during exams to transcribe histories and physical exams.
Document diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, prescriptions, orders, and procedures.

What you need

At least 1 year of experience working in a medical office, preferably urology.
Requires competence in Microsoft applications and knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and EMR systems.

Job Description: Astera's Urology group is seeking a medical scribe on a Per Diem basis. This position will be a remote position, supporting our Urology locations. Responsibilities: Take medical histories. Accompany physicians into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc. Document any procedures performed by the physician. Requirements At least 1 year of working in a medical office, preferably urology. Competence in Microsoft applications. Knowledgeable in medical terminology and medical records. Knowledge of EMR Systems. Pay: $22/hr We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefit package and paid time off.
