Medication Technician

What you'll do : You'll report to the Mental Health Coordinator and be responsible for distributing client’s medication from filled prescriptions and assisting in the overall operation of the medication room. Other functions include: Administer medications and document as ordered. Maintain security of medication room. Return outdated medication to pharmacy and keep log books updated. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules. Education and experience requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a required certified medication aide training course. Must successfully pass state medication aide exam or possess current LVN license in the state of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.
