What you'll do
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, document progress, identify deficiencies, and support project delivery.
What you need
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on commercial, institutional, transportation, aviation, healthcare, education, or public works projects.
- Strong knowledge of building construction methods, architectural finishes, building envelope systems, and MEP infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience preparing inspection reports and maintaining project documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Preferred Certifications:<ul><li>ICC Building Inspector Certification
- ICC Mechanical Inspector Certification
- ICC Electrical Inspector Certification
- ICC Plumbing Inspector Certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred

Hill International is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Inspector to oversee and inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on construction projects. The Inspector is responsible for ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project requirements. This role serves as the owner's representative in the field, monitoring contractor performance, documenting construction progress, identifying deficiencies, and supporting successful project delivery.
