Mobile Diesel Technician A Level ID 2026-5673 Job Locations US-NY-Sloatsburg Category Mechanic Position Type Full-Time Union- BL & ANC Benefits Only Overview Mobile Diesel Mechanic A $35-$52/Hour + Union Benefits + Company Service Truck Interstate Waste Services is hiring an experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic A to support our heavy equipment fleet. 📍 Reporting Locations: Valley Cottage, Chestnut Ridge, or Sloatsburg, NY 🕖 Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM Start 💰 $35.00-$52.00 per hour ⏰ Union Position | Overtime After 40 Hours Company Service Truck Weekly Pay Full Union Benefits Package Career Growth Opportunities What You'll Do Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery Troubleshoot engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, powertrain, and emissions systems Respond to breakdowns and perform field repairs at transfer stations, rail yards, and operating locations Operate a mobile service truck and maintain parts, tools, and inventory Complete inspections, work orders, and repair documentation Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as needed Ensure all repairs meet IWS safety and maintenance standards Equipment You'll Work On Heavy Diesel Trucks Qualifications 5+ years of diesel and heavy equipment repair experience preferred Strong diagnostic skills in diesel, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic systems Experience with CAT, Volvo, Komatsu, Liebherr, Sennebogen, or similar equipment preferred Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision Welding and fabrication experience a plus Valid Driver's License required with an acceptable driving record CDL and ASE Certifications are a plus Preferred Background Heavy Equipment • Construction Equipment • Waste & Recycling • Aggregate • Mining • Rail • Industrial Equipment • Field Service Additional Information This job description is intended to be an accurate representation of the general functions of the job, rather than exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or experience.
