We are looking for a Client Specialist to join our team of talented and passionate people in our Los Angeles office. This is our full time, Monday through Friday entry-level position that focuses on learning the foundations of business management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Transaction Processing & Maintenance Process accounts receivable and payable, including approvals, funding transfers, and remittance management; recognize when something does not look right and elevate it to manager for review. Maintain income tracking schedules, weekly cash balances, and cash flow reports, alerting the team to any anomalies or outstanding items. Maintain organized and complete financial documentation for all client activity. Reconciliation & Accuracy Perform bank, credit card, and road cash reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies; record necessary journal entries. Maintain accuracy across all assigned accounts and supporting schedules. Reporting & Financial Support Prepare commissions, rebills, and Personal Expense Worksheets across applicable client entities. Maintain Contract Control Files (CCF) and manage tour and merchandise settlement tracking. Reconcile royalty statements and maintain royalty trackers across applicable income sources. Compile and organize financial data to support reporting and tax preparation. Tax & Compliance Support Enter and support payroll processing in coordination with third-party providers; assist with related tax reporting and reconciliation. Prepare and file sales tax returns; compile supporting documentation for Tennessee business tax filings. Support 1099 compliance by estimating filing requirements and reviewing research and documentation. Assist with individual, corporate, and LLC tax preparation, including multi-state clients. Perform tax savings analysis; assist with gift tax and state withholding reporting. Problem Awareness & Communication Identify missing information, discrepancies, or items that appear inconsistent or out of alignment and flag them to manager in a timely manner. Follow through on open items to ensure completion and accuracy. Communicate clearly and professionally internally and externally. Additional Responsibilities (As Skill and Capacity Develop) Prepare basic financial reports, including clearing holding accounts, verifying balance sheet integrity, completing quarterly payroll summaries, and commission reconciliations. (anticipated after approximately 6 months) Prepare budgets and individual or corporate tax projections for non-all-state clients. (anticipated after approximately 12 months) Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) semesters of college-level accounting coursework required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Music Business, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes a plus. Proficiency in Excel required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are needed. Ability to manage recurring tasks and meet deadlines consistently. High degree of confidentiality and ability to exercise independent judgment required. Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Extended screen time across multiple monitors and software systems. Extended hours to meet deadlines during peak periods, including, but not limited to tax season, quarterly reporting, etc. as needed.
