Internet · 1,001 to 5,000 employees
NAVER Ventures is NAVER's venture capital arm that has invested in over 100 innovative tech startups from the seed stage. It is now expanding more heavily into the U.S. early-stage companies across AI, Consumer, and Enterprise Software. We strive to be a trusted partner for entrepreneurs, focusing on the value of the problems that startups aim to solve, the prospect of their technology, and the growth potential of their teams rather than immediate numbers. Our goal is to partner with bold founders with big ideas from day one to help them build iconic companies and make history.
What you'll do
- Evaluate investment opportunities across AI, enterprise software, infrastructure, robotics, consumer technology, and other emerging sectors
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and commercial diligence on prospective investments
- Build financial models, analyze business metrics, and support valuation analysis
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal investment committees
- Participate in meetings with founders, investors, customers, and industry experts throughout the diligence process
- Develop investment theses around emerging technology trends and markets
- Source new investment opportunities through relationships with founders, venture capital firms, accelerators, and the broader startup ecosystem
- Identify strategic collaboration opportunities between portfolio companies and NAVER’s business units, and support portfolio companies after investment
What you need
- Prior experience in technology investment banking, venture capital, growth equity, or corporate venture capital
- Experience evaluating software or AI companies
- Existing relationships within the startup or venture ecosystem
- Technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science, or product experience)
- Hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day research and analysis
- Korean language proficiency is a plus
- Education: a bachelor's degree
