What you'll do
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new Mack and Volvo trucks.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure all systems, components, accessories, and installed equipment meet OEM and dealership standards.
- Complete inspection forms, documentation, and delivery checklists accurately.
- Identify, document, and report defects, missing components, or quality concerns before customer delivery.
- Prepare trucks for delivery, including interior and exterior cleaning as needed.
- Move and position trucks safely throughout the dealership and service areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with technicians, service advisors, and sales staff to ensure timely vehicle delivery.

M&K Truck Centers, a leading Mack and Volvo dealership, is seeking a New Truck Prep Technician to perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), quality checks, vehicle preparation, and final inspections on new heavy-duty commercial trucks.
This position is ideal for candidates with experience in diesel trucks, fleet maintenance, truck inspections, commercial vehicle operations, automotive service, transportation equipment, or truck dealership environments. If you hold a CDL Class B License and State Inspection License and are looking for a career with a growing industry leader, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new Mack and Volvo trucks.
Inspect vehicles to ensure all systems, components, accessories, and installed equipment meet OEM and dealership standards.
Complete inspection forms, documentation, and delivery checklists accurately.
Identify, document, and report defects, missing components, or quality concerns before customer delivery.
Prepare trucks for delivery, including interior and exterior cleaning as needed.
Move and position trucks safely throughout the dealership and service areas.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with technicians, service advisors, and sales staff to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
What we’re looking for:
Required
Valid State Inspection License
CDL Class B License
Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred
Experience in a truck dealership, diesel repair shop, fleet maintenance, or automotive service environment
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Experience completing inspections and vehicle documentation
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
