Night Shift Mechanic Trainee

What You'll Be Doing Assist experienced mechanics with inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing quarry equipment and mobile machinery. Perform preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and other production equipment. Learn safe maintenance practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and equipment operating standards. Support equipment reliability by identifying maintenance needs and reporting mechanical issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while contributing to efficient quarry operations. What Are We Looking For Mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial environment. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment under supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new mechanical systems and maintenance practices. Dependable team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to safety. Ability to follow instructions, work independently when needed, and adapt to changing operational priorities. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Must be authorized to work in the United States and comply with all company safety requirements and policies. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. Physical Demands of the Job Frequently stand, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and work on uneven terrain. Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting throughout the workday. Work at varying heights and in confined spaces while following safety procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination. Maintain visual and auditory awareness to safely work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
