Keep Our Production Team Supplied, Scheduled, and On Track
We are looking for an accurate and organized Office Administrator to plan and purchase the materials and equipment our Production Team needs to meet its daily manufacturing schedule. This is more than a traditional office administration position. You’ll work with our Production Planner to determine what materials are needed, place orders and follow up until those materials arrive. You’ll need to keep accurate records, stay ahead of shortages and speak up when a delivery problem could hold up production. You’ll also handle the daily office work that supports the plant.
What You’ll Do
Using ACUMATICA, our manufacturing ERP program:
Plan material and equipment needs to support the daily manufacturing schedule.
Purchase raw materials, supplies, and equipment, and confirm they arrive when needed.
Coordinate with the Production Team to make sure they have what they need to meet daily goals.
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and carriers about orders, pricing, and delivery timing.
Follow up on open purchase orders and flag delays before they affect production.
Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and order records.
Be the backup to Production Planning generating and closing work orders.
Provide general office administration support, including answering phones and email, filing, and data entry.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma with 3 years of work experience in purchasing, accounting, or bookkeeping, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
Accuracy with numbers, quantities, dates and records.
The ability to keep track of several orders and deadlines at once.
Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and ERP business software.
Someone who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in their work.
Good follow-through and the judgment to ask questions or raise a concern before it becomes a bigger problem.
Schedule
Full-time position.
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Daily
Based at Chemtek’s Yanceyville facility, about 20 minutes south of Danville, VA and 30 minutes north of Hillsborough and Burlington, NC.
Benefits
Competitive salary.
$1,000 Sign On Bonus with 1 Year’s demonstrated experience with ACUMATICA ERP
Company-funded QSEHRA health reimbursement benefit for eligible employees and family members.
401(k) with company contribution.
Paid holidays, PTO, vacation, and sick leave.
Eight additional paid days off during Chemtek’s Christmas holiday period.
Opportunity to grow with Chemtek’s expanding service organization.
If you love bringing order to a busy schedule, catch the details others miss, follow through every time, and know that good planning and purchasing keep a production floor running, we want to hear from you.
