Operations Assistant

Location: Harrisburg, NC Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Director of Operations Position Summary The Operations Assistant provides flexible, hands-on support to Morrison Millwork’s Warehouse & Delivery, Service, and Installation teams. This position helps ensure daily operations run smoothly by assisting with a variety of tasks based on business needs, workload, and departmental priorities. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Delivery Support Assist with loading and unloading vendor and delivery trucks in safe and efficient manner. Move product within the facility and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, forklifts, or other material handling equipment. Load and organize product in an ordered, logical manner onto the delivery truck ensuring contents ae properly secured to prevent breakage or damage. Work with customer on jobsite to determine best unloading zone and placement of product. Deliver high-quality products to our customers safely and in a courteous and timely manner. Assist with other warehouse/delivery tasks as needed. Service Support Assist the Service team with receiving, organizing, locating, preparing, and moving materials need for service calls. Travel to customer job sites with the Service team as assigned. Actively assist with service calls and assigned work by handling materials, preparing work areas, retrieving tools and supplies, and performing general support tasks within the employee’s training and capabilities. Assist with moving, handling, and protecting window and door products and related materials. Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas during and after service activities. Follow direction from the Service team and communicate questions, concerns, or unexpected issues promptly. Assist with other Service Department tasks as needed. Installation Support Travel to customer job sites with the Installation team as assigned. Actively assist installation crews with assigned job-related tasks, including material handling, product staging, site preparation, cleanup, and general installation support. Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and protecting products and materials at the warehouse and job sites. Help maintain an organized job site and protect products, property, and surrounding work areas from damage. Follow instructions from installation leadership and crew members and perform tasks appropriate to the employee’s training and authorization. Assist with other installation-related tasks as needed to support the successful completion of assigned jobs. Qualifications Required High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work effectively with different teams and adapt to changing daily priorities. Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, organization, and quality. Preferred Previous experience driving or assisting with deliveries using a box truck. Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, construction, installation, service, or other hands-on environment. Experience handling materials, organizing inventory, or assisting with physical work. Work Environment & Physical Requirements The position is based out of Morrison Millwork’s Harrisburg, NC office and warehouse. Work will also be performed at customer locations and residential construction job sites when supporting Service and Installation teams. Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and moving products or materials are required. Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and active construction environments. Must follow company safety policies, use required personal protective equipment, and operate tools or equipment only when properly trained and authorized. Local travel to customer job sites and other work locations is required as assigned. Work schedules and daily assignments may vary based on operational needs.
