Payment Processing Specialist (Lockbox Operations)

Position Title: Lockbox Processor Reports To: Lockbox Supervisor Department: Deposit Operations FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Purpose: The Lockbox Processor is responsible for the processing and reporting of receivables for commercial/municipal Lockbox clients and Bank customer internal loan payments. Supervisory Responsibilities: Degree of Supervision Received: Moderate to High Supervision Received (title): Lockbox Supervisor Degree of Supervision Given: None Supervision Given to (Titles): N/A Essential Functions: Processes and keys Lockbox client receivables deposits and customer internal loan payments utilizing Lockbox software. Prepares remittance and correspondence related to processed receivables and distributes to Lockbox clients daily. Generates and reviews monthly reports. Escalate any discrepancies to the Senior Lockbox Processor Demonstrates the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank Experience in every interaction with internal and external customers and associates. Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience: Required: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Prior Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a computer/keyboard Preferred: Education: Associates degree Prior Experience: 1+ years of data entry or customer service experience Competencies: Possess strong keying skills with a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy Able to maintain confidentiality at all times Ability to take initiative in problem solving and make practical decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills Possess a high level of attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions/procedures to ensure accuracy Intermediate level with all Microsoft Office applications including the ability to learn new and existing banking software Responds to requests for information in a timely and professional manner Dependable in meeting attendance requirements and schedules established for the department Physical Requirements: Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time. Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time. Extensive computer usage is required.
