Description

Description Pharmacy Technician Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services. Under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, either in person or remotely, you will assist with daily pharmacy operations and collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure patients receive exceptional care. Key Responsibilities: - Provide courteous and efficient customer service to patients dropping off or picking up prescriptions. - Enter and process prescription orders accurately into the computer system, consulting with the pharmacist as needed. - Retrieve, count, and prepare medication orders to support pharmacist workflows. - Create and update patient profiles, including health and insurance information, within the pharmacy management system. - Respond effectively to phone inquiries and assist with medication-related questions. - Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety protocols. - Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration checks. - Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification preferred. - Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills. - Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
