What you'll do

Prepare, store, and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need

Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements and a Pharmacy Technician License are required.
BLS or ACLS is required at ICH/QVH, as is annual 2 hour s of stroke education for those working at QVH.

Job Summary Responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements. Minimum Experience Requirement: Acute care experience preferred. Must have knowledge of trade/generic drug names and aseptic technique for the preparation of all types of IVs. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations and have sufficient typing skills for computer order entry. Needs general understanding of pharmacy computer applications, and be able to use common reference material. Able to withstand stress of high activity area. Proficiency in English (verbal and written skills) in order to communicate effectively. Excellent customer service skills required. Minimum License Requirement: Pharmacy Technician License is required. BLS or ACLS required (ICH/QVH only). Annual 2 hour s of stroke education required for those working at QVH. Delivering world-class health care one patient at a time. Pay Range: $25.50 - $25.50
