Description

We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Aide to join our amazing Physical Therapy team at our Camas Physical Therapy location. The Physical Therapy Aide assists various levels of personnel in their related clinical activities. This includes set-ups for patients, transportation, assisting in routine ambulation and therapeutic techniques. The Physical Therapy Aide also maintains inventory of department equipment, linen and supplies, assists with general clean-up, and performs receptionist/clerical duties as needed by the department. This is a great mentoring opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy and gaining clinical experience prior to applying to a Physical Therapy program! Responsibilities: * Support an environment that reinforces Rebound’s mission and Core Values of Superior Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Innovation, Quality and Recognition. * Administer routine patient treatment and care to patients of various ages under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistants. * Monitor patient's reaction to therapy and reports significant changes or developments to therapist. * Transport/escort patients to Physical Therapy treatment as needed * Assist in general department maintenance by performing light housekeeping tasks on a frequent basis. * Change linen in patient treatment areas per department procedure.  * Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and supplies per department procedures. * Order therapy supplies and maintains inventory of equipment and linen. * Perform a variety of receptionist and general clerical duties as assigned by supervisor. * Keep informed of health care issues, changing department procedures and other department information by attending staff meetings and/or reading staff meeting minutes, e-mails and newsletters. * Use PT exercise software to format exercise programs for patients and clinical staff * Train other PT Aides on above duties as related to their clinic * Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Completion of high school, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.  * BLS certified. * Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Physical Therapy office experience highly desired. * Strong interest in physical therapy/health professions as a career preferred.  * Ability to successfully complete Rebound Physical Therapy Department training program within two months of employment.  * Effective organizational and problem solving skills.  * Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.  * Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Ability to prioritize in a climate of changing needs and distractions.  Physical Requirements: * Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.  * Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.  * Frequent lifting; Must be able to lift, move or assist patients weighing up to 300 pounds or more with help of other staff members using proper body mechanics.  * Frequent carrying of 20-30 pounds for distances of 100-200 feet. * Frequent pushing/pulling, bending, crouching, crawling, squatting, getting in awkward positions and stair-climbing.  * Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range for staff and patient safety. * Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.  Proud to Offer: * Medical/Vision/Rx  * Dental  * 401(K) Retirement Plan, including discretionary profit sharing * Company paid Life Insurance/AD&D * Voluntary Life insurance/AD&D * Company paid short and long-term disability * Flexible Spending and Health Saving Accounts * Employee Assistance Program  * Paid Time Off accrued at up to 24 days in your first year based on FTE * Free Parking This is a great opportunity to work in a quality organization with Top Doctors in the Northwest.
