Function/Duties of Position The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to work with a team of health care providers and collaborate to achieve clinical care goals. Our practice is recognized by the State of Oregon as a Tier 4 Patient Centered Primary Care Home and a Comprehensive Primary Care Plus clinic site. This position will include interim care and a coverage clinic. This position is designed to increase after-hours and same day appointment access for practice’s patients as well as increase our overall patient access. This is a faculty position that potentially provides opportunities for teaching, scholarship, and service within the university and beyond. Key Responsibilities Precepting or urgent care in the Faculty Practice 4 half days/week Participate in clinical based teaching Potential to attend on the general medicine wards On average 3 days per week of ultrasound educational activities and practice in varying clinical settings Attend weekly image review & planning sessions with the program faculty Create, participate in, or complete at least 1 IRB approved research project Contribute to ultrasound teaching events for students and residents Positively contribute to the OHSU Point of Care Ultrasound Group Required Qualifications Education MD/DO ABIM board-eligible or board-certified Competencies Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other clinicians in our practice is essential Preferred Qualifications Experience in primary care preferred Additional Details Working Conditions The work occurs primarily in a typical clinic environment and hospital setting Work hours are as required to complete assignment, core hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday with weekend time required while on inpatient service Able to perform essential functions of the job with or without accommodation Why apply to OHSU?
