This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients’ goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch.   Potential Office Locations: Kansas City  Tampa  Los Angeles Irvine Cary, NC   Join our team as a Process Engineer Intern supporting our Drinking Water treatment systems.  Key Responsibilities Possesses knowledge of conventional water treatment and is familiar with some of the processes such as advanced treatment, drinking water treatment, treatment facility, reverse osmosis, microfiltration, disinfection, oxidation, pilot testing, bench testing, PFAS, clarifiers, DBPs, taste and odor (T&O), ozone, ultraviolet (UV), advanced oxidation (AOP)  Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs Prepare basic calculations  Assist in basic equipment selection Schedule project deliverables Collect, organize, and evaluate data Preferred Qualifications Prior internship experience in water/drinking water preferred. Water treatment engineering / design, Wastewater treatment engineering/design, chemical/physical principles, water chemistry and hydraulics courses preferred. Experience in P&ID/PFD preferred.  Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Intellectual Horsepower, Written Communications, Drive For Results, Informing, Listening, and Dealing with Ambiguity  Minimum Qualifications No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program.
