What you'll do
- The D&R (Design & Release) Engineer is responsible to design, develop, validate and release parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs.
- Look for design improvements to increase quality and cost / weight optimization. Design parts in order to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customers Requirements), ES (Engineering Specifications) and SDS (Systems Design specifications) as well as the Manufacturing and Assembly requirements.
- The engineer is also responsible of parts incorporation at the Assembly Plant.

- The D&R Engineer is responsible for managing product release CAD and BOM structures, including assembly positioning and mass attribute analysis. This role also includes facilitating supplier data integration and developing CAD studies to support and drive design improvements.

Air Induction Systems applications design and release engineer - The D&R Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of Engine Air Induction and Exhaust components throughout the product lifecycle. The role ensures designs meet program cost, weight, quality, performance, timing, validation, manufacturing, and assembly requirements. The engineer leads component-level engineering activities from concept through production, including design reviews, sourcing support, validation, BOM and engineering system releases, supplier engagement, root-cause problem solving, and assembly plant implementation. The role requires strong technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with experience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, Six Sigma/8D problem solving, and CAD tools such as CATIA and 3DX.
