What you'll do
- Perform receiving, set-up, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with control plans and work instructions.
- Record measurements and populate inspection reports or related documents as specified by product control plans and work instructions.
- Complete inspection reports and other documents in adherence to regulatory and quality standards such as AS9100 and other customer specific requirements.
- Mechanically and visually inspect parts at various stages of the production process.
- Monitor complex components to tight tolerances.
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Perform open-layout inspections as required to support product control plans and First Article requirements.
- Provide CMM programming support, including running first-time programs, tuning existing programs, and assisting with troubleshooting; light programming may be required.
- Provide information and clarification to machinists regarding inspection requirements and results.
- Must be proficient in print reading and GD&T
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
- Attention to detail with requirements and documentation
- Ability to communicate and operate in a smaller, team-based environment
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software packages such as MS word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Knowledge of an ERP systems, GSS is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Customer oriented and service-minded
- 1+ years of manufacturing or related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

This role supports the manufacturing of high-precision aerospace and defense components and assemblies. The QC Inspector performs dimensional, visual, and process inspections of precision-machined components of varying complexity, and incoming materials to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards such as AS9100 and other customer requirements, and company standards.
