Quality Assurance Specialist

Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is hiring a full-time Quality Assurance Specialist to help ensure our agency is providing quality services and supports to the developmentally disabled adults we serve. This position specifically supports individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE SKILLS ARE REQUIRED!nWHAT IS THE JOB?nThe Quality Assurance Specialist conducts on-site quality assurance inspections in the homes of the clients we support. This position is responsible for making sure that our agency is meeting internal policies and procedures as well as maintaining compliance with state and federal laws, regional center contracts, and person-centered practices when it comes to the homes of the people we support.nThis position will conduct on-site quality assurance checks and audits, interviews, and is required to meet a variety of documentation requirements both internally and for different outside entities. The Quality Assurance Specialist plays an important part in making sure that the developmentally disabled adults we serve are living full, independent lives in their own homes!nOther duties include:nnAssisting with on-site training for staffnCompleting, reviewing and submitting Special Incident Reports and Adult Protective Services reports to the appropriate parties as needednCompiling and presenting a variety of reports and data setsnDirecting staff as needed and providing objective feedback and corrective actionnAnd much more!nnQualified applicants:nnMust be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of CompletionnMay be required to provide CA Driver License, current auto insurance, and maintain a clear Motor Vehicle Record for positions that require drivingnMust have American Sign Language skills (moderate to fluent)nMust have relevant work history and skills to meet the position requirementsnnThe rate of pay for this position ranges from $28-$30 per hour.nSCHEDULEnThis position operates Monday-Friday from 8:30a-5p out of our Roseville location and is required to flex worked hours to accommodate client home visits during the weekend as directed. Weekday hours will be adjusted to accommodate weekend hours.nLOCATIONnThe Quality Assurance Specialist operates out of our Roseville office location and is required to be on-site in the greater Sacramento, Yuba, Sutter, and Placer county areas.
