RC Mowers | We’re Hiring
Quality Technician
Full-Time · Suamico, WI (On-Site)
$23.00 to $27.00 per hour
Help make sure every machine we build is ready for the field.
At RC Mowers, we build commercial mowing equipment designed for tough jobs. We’re looking for a Quality Technician who can help make sure our machines, parts, and components meet our standards before they reach customers.
This is hands-on work inspecting finished machines, checking incoming parts, and making sure outgoing shipments are right. You’ll also work with suppliers and our internal teams to address quality issues.
If you can read a blueprint, use precision measuring tools, and aren’t afraid to speak up when something isn’t right, this could be your job.
THE JOB
You’ll work in our Suamico factory, inspecting parts and machines throughout the manufacturing process.
You’ll use drawings, inspection tools, and checklists to find problems, document what you see, and work with others to get them corrected. It’s not just about catching defects. It’s about explaining what’s wrong and helping keep it from happening again.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Inspect finished machines for quality, workmanship, and accuracy before shipment
Check incoming parts against blueprints, dimensions, and specifications
Use dial calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools to verify measurements
Identify, document, and clearly communicate quality issues
Visit suppliers as needed to review quality concerns and verify corrective actions
Audit outgoing shipments for proper packaging and correct parts and quantities
Maintain inspection checklists and quality documents
Track inspection equipment and calibration records; keep the quality area organized
Work with Purchasing on nonconforming materials
Help identify recurring issues and support improvements
Work with Engineering to implement new processes and audit initial production runs
WHAT THE WORK IS LIKE
Hands-on inspections in a manufacturing environment
A mix of shop-floor and computer work
Daily interaction with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping
Occasional travel to supplier locations
A team that expects you to notice issues and speak up
WHO FITS HERE
You notice details others might miss and take pride in doing things right
You’re comfortable raising concerns and explaining them professionally
You can back up your findings with measurements and clear documentation
You’re organized, dependable, and able to follow an issue through
You work well with different teams and are willing to learn our machines
EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
Strong blueprint reading skills
Experience using dial calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
Ability to inspect mechanical parts and document accurate findings
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, including professional email communication
Strong verbal communication skills and confidence discussing quality issues
Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, machining, or a related technical environment
You don’t need to know our machines before you start. We’ll train you on RC Mowers equipment and processes, but you should already be comfortable reading blueprints, measuring parts, and communicating technical issues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a hands-on manufacturing job. You should be comfortable:
Standing and walking throughout the workday
Bending, reaching, and inspecting equipment from different positions
Handling parts, tools, and inspection equipment
Working safely around machinery and production equipment
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$23.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience
Health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Paid vacation time
Paid holidays
Disability, life, and accident insurance
