Rack Maintenance Technician nLocation: Adkins, TXJob Type: Full-Time | W-2 (Hourly)Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:45 PMDepartment: Rack Maintenance / RefurbishmentnAbout Top Metal SolutionsnTop Metal Solutions is a growing metal fabrication company near San Antonio specializing in structural components, industrial racks, CNC cutting, welding, fabrication, and industrial coating services.nWe are seeking a reliable and hands-on Rack Maintenance Technician – Level 1 to support the inspection, cleaning, repair, and refurbishment of industrial racks used by our customers.nThis is an entry-level maintenance and repair position focused on basic rack restoration tasks, surface preparation, minor repairs, and general shop support.nPosition SummarynThe Rack Maintenance Technician – Level 1 performs basic repair and refurbishment activities under supervision.nThe ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand and power tools, performing basic welding and painting tasks, and following established work and safety procedures.nKey ResponsibilitiesnnnWash and thoroughly clean industrial racks before inspection, repair, or delivery.nnnPrepare surfaces for repair and painting.nnnPerform basic paint touch-ups using brushes, rollers, or spray paint.nnnInstall basic labels, markings, and identification materials.nnnPerform basic welding, including tack welds and simple weld beads.nnnDrill holes using handheld or shop equipment.nnnPerform basic cuts and material preparation using grinders and similar tools.nnnReplace simple components such as bolts, hardware, pins, rubber stops, tarps, and other basic rack components.nnnIdentify common materials such as tubing, structural profiles, and sheet metal.nnnComplete basic service records and work logs documenting repairs performed on each rack.nnnMaintain tools and work areas clean and organized.nnnFollow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).nnnAssist higher-level technicians with repairs and refurbishment projects as needed.nnnPerform other related duties as assigned.nnnQualificationsnnnPrevious experience in manufacturing, maintenance, fabrication, welding, construction, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred.nnnBasic experience using hand and power tools.nnnBasic welding experience or willingness to perform simple welding tasks.nnnAbility to use drills, grinders, and similar shop tools safely.nnnAbility to follow verbal and written work instructions.nnnAbility to identify basic metal materials and components.nnnAbility to complete basic work records in Spanish.nnnReliable attendance and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.nnnAbility to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.nnnWork EnvironmentnThis position works inside a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility. Employees may be exposed to heat, sparks, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
