Receptionist (Temp to Hire)
Location: Riverside, CA
Pay Range: $25.00-29.17/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm
Position Summary
Serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, ensuring professional and welcoming front-office experience. This position is responsible for managing daily front desk operations, internal communications, conference room coordination, catering logistics, and various administrative tasks. The Receptionist also manages company security badges through Verkada, oversees engagement platforms such as Viva Engage, and assists with reimbursements and other office support functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist visitors, vendors, employees, and job candidates in a friendly and professional manner.
* Coordinate with HR on candidate interviews, NDAs, and related activities.
* Answer, screen, and direct phone calls and manage front desk email correspondence.
* Maintain visitor logs and issue guest, temporary, and employee badges in accordance with security procedures.
* Manage the Verkada access control system, including creating, updating, and deactivating badges.
* Coordinate conference room scheduling, setup, and organization.
* Coordinate catering for meetings, training, and company events.
* Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
* Prepare and distribute internal communications, including flyers, posters, and announcements.
* Update office monitors and Viva Engage with company communications and engagement content.
* Assist with administrative paperwork.
* Maintain a clean, organized, professional reception area, conference rooms, and common areas.
* Support employee engagement activities and event logistics.
* Provide administrative support to HR, Finance, Operations, and other departments as needed.
* Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Position Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Professional and welcoming demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Basic design skills (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint) for creating flyers and internal content.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workspace.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience using Viva Engage or similar communication tools preferred.
* Experience in a corporate, finance or manufacturing office setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with Verkada or similar access control/security systems preferred.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Work Environment
* This position is fully onsite in a professional office environment, primarily in an indoor setting with access to standard office equipment, such as computers and phones. The environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level.
