The City of O\'Fallon is seeking a passionate and organized Recreation Specialist – Aquatics & Special Events to lead engaging programs and events that bring people together and promote wellness, fun, and connection.\n What You\'ll Do\nAs a key member of our Parks & Recreation team, you\'ll oversee aquatic programming and special events while supporting the daily operations of our premier facilities.\n Aquatics Leadership\n\n\nManage the swim lesson program and Torpedoes Swim Team at the Renaud Center and Alligators Creek\n\n\nAssist with training and certification of 100+ lifeguards and swim instructors\n\n\nSupport pool maintenance and operations alongside the Aquatics Operations Specialist\n\n\nRespond to after-hours emergencies related to aquatics facilities\n\nServe as Manager on Duty at recreation facilities, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction\n\n Special Events Coordination\n\n\nPlan and implement aquatics-related special events and a variety of community-wide events\n\n\nCollaborate with internal departments and external partners to deliver exceptional experiences\n\n\n Program Management\n\n\nHire, train, schedule, and supervise part-time staff\n\n\nManage program budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure cost recovery\n\n\nMaintain accurate participant records and prepare reports\n\n\nDevelop promotional materials, manuals, and event rules\n\n\nAct as liaison to schools, community organizations, and vendors\n\n\n\n Why Work for the City of O\'Fallon?\nWe value our employees and their wellbeing.
