What you'll do
- Process referrals and authorizations, verify insurance coverage, coordinate appointments and follow-up care, and update patient information in the EHR.
- Communicate with providers, patients, and insurers while supporting patient care through customer service.
What you need
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Two years of related healthcare or medical office experience preferred
- Referral, authorization, or insurance verification experience preferred
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills
- Education: a high school diploma
