What you'll do
- Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests,treatments, and IV lines
- Record time spent performing individual treatments,in accordance withancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record
- Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicalsin accordance withfacility policies andprocedures
- Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a trereatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
- Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing
- Assistin the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
- Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures
What you need

- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
- Ability to stand forlong periodsof time as well as lift/push/pull50lbs
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this positioncan be fully met
- Experience in long term geriatric nursing carepreferred
