Interventional Cardiovascular (Pre-Op) Admission & Recovery (ICAR) is seeking a full time Registered PACU Nurse with pediatric nursing experience to work 3x12 hour shifts:6a-6p; 7a-7p; 9a-9p with minimal holiday and on call requirement.
This role will work with Adult and Pediatric patient population.
We are located on the ground floor of the Inova Schar Heart & Vascular Center – Fairfax Medical Campus. This is a fast paced, team-oriented unit with an emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. Many opportunities for growth and involvement in the unit and hospital initiatives.
Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care of outpatient and inpatient populations,
Electrophysiology procedures- pacemaker/ICD placement, leadless pacemaker, ablations-VT, SVT, A-Fib, A-Flutter
Cardiac catheterization procedures- left and right heart caths, heart biopsies, ASD/PFO closures, carotid stents, and structural heart procedures
Interventional Radiology procedures- angiograms, chemoembolization, IVS filter, Mediports, thrombolysis, venograms, G/J tube placements, nephrostomy and biliary tubes

RN PACU ICAR Qualifications:
One year of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience is required
Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start
RN PACU ICAR Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Pediatric and Adult nursing experience
