What you'll do
- Observe, document, and verify contractor work for compliance with contract documents and plans
- Confirm procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications
- Perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work
- Assist in on-site material testing
- Produce as-constructed sketches as required
What you need
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1 year of construction experience
- All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements
- Read and understand plans and specifications
- Recognize, document, and escalate field issues
- Calculate pay quantities and understand change conditions
- Understand Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an intermediate level
- Previous HNTB Internship experience (preferred)

This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. Provides inspection services for compliance with plans and specifications, prepares required contract documentation, and follows prescribed Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
This position is for current/former HNTB interns only.
What You'll Do:
Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
Assists in on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 1 year of construction experience.
All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
