Risk Management Analyst
Work Arrangement: Hybrid after successful completion of approximately 90 days of on-site training in Gettysburg, PA. Candidates must reside within or near ACNB Bank’s service footprint in South Central Pennsylvania or Northern Maryland.
Strengthen vendor partnerships. Improve mortgage quality. Make risk insights actionable.
Are you skilled at evaluating risk, managing vendor relationships, and turning complex information into sound business decisions? Do you bring hands-on banking and mortgage experience and enjoy collaborating across departments to improve processes and outcomes?
As ACNB Bank’s Risk Management Analyst, you'll play a critical role in protecting the Bank by facilitating third-party vendor risk management activities while supporting mortgage quality control initiatives. Approximately 80% of your work will focus on vendor management and third-party risk oversight, with the remaining 20% dedicated to mortgage quality control activities. While mortgage QC processes can be taught, successful candidates must bring practical banking and mortgage lending experience that allows them to understand loan documentation, regulatory requirements, and operational risk.
This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact by helping ACNB Bank make informed vendor decisions, maintain regulatory compliance, improve operational performance, and reduce risk.
What You’ll Accomplish / ResponsibilitiesLead third-party risk management efforts.
Serve as the primary resource for vendor due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities. Evaluate operational, financial, cybersecurity, AI, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with current and prospective vendors, helping business leaders make informed decisions that protect the Bank.
Build strong vendor oversight practices.
Maintain accurate risk assessments, monitoring schedules, contract documentation, and review records. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and business line leaders to ensure vendor relationships meet regulatory and business requirements.
Support mortgage quality control and investor compliance.
Partner with mortgage operations and the Bank’s QC vendors to administer the mortgage quality control program. Monitor defect tracking, corrective action plans, and reporting activities that support compliance with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA requirements.
Turn findings into actionable improvements.
Identify trends, root causes, and emerging risks within vendor reviews and mortgage quality-control results. Communicate findings clearly to management and recommend practical solutions that strengthen controls, improve processes, and reduce operational risk.
Maintain a forward-looking risk perspective.
Stay informed about evolving regulatory guidance, mortgage industry requirements, and third-party risk management best practices. Help ensure the Bank's risk management processes remain effective, compliant, and aligned with industry expectations.
