RN School Nurse- Washington Local

Location: School - Washington Local School Department: B2B Weekly Hours: 40 Status: Full time Shift: Days (United States of America) Job Summary: POSITION SUMMARY The RN, School Nurse provides direct care to students in a school setting. The care includes treating injuries, acute illness, chronic disease management and long-term management for students with special health care needs. You will act as a liaison between school personnel, family, health care professionals and the community through communication with parents/guardians of students, physicians, advanced practice providers and appropriate school personnel. In this role, you will screen for health conditions and health problems as required. You will also be responsible for health care education of students, parents, teachers and other school personnel. This is a leadership role in which you will lead health policies and programs, health promotion and protections and chronic disease management. The role also requires coordination of school health programs, school wellness policies, mental health protection and intervention and more.
