What projects might I support? Although subject to change, examples of projects you will be contributing to include: Develop cloud migration security controls, ensuring the deployment of new applications to the cloud follows Wellmark’s security standards. Script automated controls to monitor cloud security, Build reporting tools, obtaining coding data and analyzing to understand and craft recommendations Support the creation and document flow for technology identity access management team Gather requirements by asking thoughtful questions, clarifying needs, and maintaining strong attention to detail. This internship will start in May of 2027, working a hybrid schedule from our headquarters in Des Moines. Current junior, senior or Master’s student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Data Analytics, MIS, or related field Knowledge of software development technologies (NodeJS, Angular, .NET, MongoDB, SQL). General understanding of the domains of programming/scripting, computer science, and management information systems. Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Accuracy and high attention to detail and self-starter. Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative technical solutions. Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products. Excellent writing and communication skills.
