Requisition ID:               67851                                  Title:  Service Development Engineering Intern   Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Service Engineering team in Santa Barbara, California (ACT) is responsible for supporting all Service-related aspects of new capital equipment launches. We are searching for a summer intern pursuing a relevant Engineering degree to support the Service Development Engineering team at ACT. The successful candidate will prepare, execute, and document deliverables with guidance from the engineering staff. The individual will conduct research on Product Lifecycle needs and will be detail oriented in the execution and documentation of these launch and/or improvement initiatives. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.   This internship will run from June 2027 – September 2027. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Santa, Barbara CA facility.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support new product launch readiness documentation. Collaborate in product improvement initiatives. Create playbooks for internal best practices. Create job-aides for quick knowledge transfer. Support software releases/trainings/documentation.   Education and Experience: Progress towards a college degree in Engineering (BioMed, Mechanical, Electrical, other STEM) required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)   Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction. Experience with technical understanding, medical device, customer support, product development, product management, or project management preferred.    Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
