What you'll do
- The role is to perform basic upkeep of the mine such as cleaning up trash and debris from the lay downs and transferring underground toilets to and from the underground work areas. 1. Category 1
- Transfer UG toilets to and from the surface area to the underground work areas
- 2. Category 2
- Clean up trash and other debris from the lay downs and work areas as needed
- 3 Category 3
- Basic attention to the clean-up of the surface areas such as gardens, boot wash and sidewalks
- 4. Category 4
- Wash and clean the underground light vehicles
What you need
- On the job training
- No experience needed
- Ability to operate a straight shift vehicle and pull a small trailer throughout the mine
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in both office and operational mining environments.
- Ability to regularly access active mining and processing areas to support operational teams
- Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and access elevated work areas as required.
- Ability to wear and use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
