Job description Maintenance Technician / Shift Engineer Full-Time | In Person The Ellison Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician / Shift Engineer to help maintain the comfort, safety, and appearance of our property. This role supports daily hotel operations through preventative maintenance, timely work-order response, and care of both interior and exterior spaces. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance in guestrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas Complete minor HVAC preventative maintenance and adjustments Respond to and resolve maintenance work orders promptly with guest service in mind Set up, maintain, and break down meeting and event spaces Maintain exterior areas including pool, parking lot, landscaping, and overall curb appeal Safely use and secure tools, equipment, and supplies Keep maintenance areas, carts, and storage rooms clean and organized Report major repair needs to the Maintenance Manager per hotel procedures Follow all hotel safety standards, policies, and procedures Work closely with the Chief Engineer and management team Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (hotel or commercial preferred) Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Schedule Evening and weekend shifts required Various shifts based on operational needs Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Flexible Scheduling Employee Discounts Job Type: Full-Time Work Location: In Person To learn more about The Ellison Hotel + Milo, please visit our website.
