About the Role
Shasta Pools & Spas builds premium residential pools across the Valley, and every project is a story worth telling: an empty backyard on day one, a resort-style retreat at the end. We want a creator who sees those stories and can't wait to film them.
This isn't a desk job, and it isn't a role where you'll wait for assignments. You'll own Shasta's organic social presence on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. You'll pitch the ideas, grab your phone, head out to job sites, get our crews and homeowners talking on camera, and turn it into content people stop scrolling for. You'll have real freedom to experiment, try new formats, and jump on trends fast.
You'll also have a clear framework to work within: a weekly posting cadence and a monthly content calendar, so your creativity has a rhythm and your work shows up consistently.
What You'll Do
• Own the content from idea to post. Come up with concepts, shoot them, edit them, and publish them, with 4–5 posts per week across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook and short-form video as the priority.
• Get out in the field. Visit construction sites, finished backyards, showrooms, and company events to capture authentic content. Most weeks you'll spend more time on location than at a desk.
• Get people talking on camera. Interview homeowners about their new backyard, get our builders and service techs to share what they know, and capture the personalities behind the brand.
• Tell the transformation story. Before-and-afters, dig-day-to-first-swim timelines, behind-the-scenes moments, customer experiences, and company culture.
• Move fast on trends. Spot new formats, sounds, and ideas as they emerge and turn them into Shasta content while they're still relevant.
• Shoot and edit short-form video on a smartphone or camera, using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools, with strong hooks, pacing, and captions.
• Capture great photos of premium projects and outdoor lifestyle moments, with an eye for composition, lighting, and making a backyard look like a destination.
• Create graphics and promo creative in Canva, Adobe, or AI-assisted design tools for social posts, promotions, flyers, and brochures.
• Write scroll-stopping captions, hooks, and calls to action, plus basic promotional copy.
• Keep the calendar on track. Build a monthly content calendar around seasonal demand, promotions, and company announcements, and hit the posting cadence every week.
• Learn from the numbers. Watch reach, engagement, video retention, and follower growth, and share a quick monthly recap of what worked and what you'll try next.
• Pitch in on marketing projects. Help with creative requests from sales, keep marketing materials and the photo and video library organized, and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Keep it unmistakably Shasta. Make sure everything you publish reflects our premium brand, look, and voice.
You're Probably a Great Fit If You…
• Always have a new content idea and get restless when you're not creating something.
• Light up around people. You can walk onto a job site, make a crew laugh, and get a homeowner comfortable on camera in a few minutes.
• Like to move fast and would rather post something good today than something perfect next month.
• Want ownership. You do your best work when someone hands you the goal and trusts you to figure out how to get there.
• Can keep yourself on a schedule. Your creativity is backed by a track record of posting consistently.
What You Bring
• 1–3 years of experience creating organic social content, through a job, internship, freelance work, or growing your own account. Recent grads with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.
• A portfolio of short-form video you conceived, shot, and edited yourself. This is the most important part of your application.
• A posting history that shows consistency, whether on a brand account you ran or your own, over at least several months.
• Fluency on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and what's working on each platform right now.
• Hands-on editing skills in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• A strong visual eye for photography, lighting, and aesthetics.
• Sharp, engaging writing for captions, hooks, and calls to action.
Nice to Have
• Content experience in home improvement, construction, outdoor living, luxury lifestyle, or another visually driven consumer brand.
• Comfort using AI-assisted creative tools (Canva Magic Studio, Adobe Firefly, CapCut AI features, ChatGPT or Claude) to speed up ideation, editing, and design.
• Experience with social scheduling and analytics platforms.
• Experience coordinating influencer partnerships, user-generated content, or customer testimonials.
• Basic familiarity with email marketing, content management systems, or general digital marketing.
Field & Schedule Requirements
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; mileage reimbursed for travel to job sites across the Phoenix metro area.
• Comfortable working outdoors, including Arizona summer heat.
• Able to follow safety rules on active construction sites.
• Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend shoots for events and the best light.
Not Part of This Role
To keep your focus on creating, this role does not include:
• Website development or maintenance.
• Advanced SEO or technical website optimization.
• Managing Google Ads or Meta paid campaigns.
• Advanced marketing automation, CRM administration, or analytics implementation
