Staff Accountant

At MDD, our expert Forensic Accountants help evaluate and determine litigation damages, business valuations and insurance claims in a clear and concise manner. Our partners and senior staff regularly provide extensive litigation services and expert witness testimony in courts, arbitrations and mediations throughout the world.As a Staff Accountant at MDD, you will work closely with a small team of Senior and Partner Forensic Accountants on unique and interesting client cases which to date have included commercial litigation, fraud and corruption, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, business interruption, product liability and recall, and subrogation.The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong numeracy, communication and analytical skills and will have a genuine desire to work in forensic accounting. This role is based in Sathorn Square, Bangkok.Key ResponsibilitiesIntermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting dataExamination of source documents pertinent to engagementChecking and proofing reports and schedulesConduct phone or in person interviews to obtain informationResearch on a wide-range of topics, issuesData analysis and evaluationInvoice analysisAttend marketing events and functions with clientsSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseAccounting, Finance or Law-related degree qualifiedWorking towards (or a willingness to work towards) an accounting qualification / designationFluent in both Thai and English; confident communicating verbally and in-writing at a business level12 months + experience in a professional working environment, client-facing role beneficialAbility to take ownership of tasks, working independently but equally happy to contribute to team efforts and goalsStrong attention to detailAbility to learn and understand how loss events may impact a businessIT literacy with strong Excel skillsNone
