This role contributes dependable work, investigates differences, and communicates findings so the accounting team can respond to business needs with confidence.
Who you are
You are a self-driven accountant who values accuracy and follows work through to completion. You can organize several assignments at once, work independently within established direction, and seek guidance when a question calls for additional judgment. You are curious about the story behind the numbers and explain your findings clearly to colleagues across the organization.
What you will do
• Support the month-end close by reviewing account activity, proposing journal entries, and preparing supporting documentation for review.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, identify unusual items or differences, research their causes, and recommend corrections or follow-up actions.
• Apply an intermediate understanding of US GAAP when evaluating transactions and preparing accounting work; raise questions when treatment is unclear.
• Prepare audit schedules and gather supporting records under the direction of accounting team staff, ensuring information is organized, accurate, and traceable.
• Respond to financial inquiries by compiling ad hoc data reports, checking the underlying information, and explaining relevant results or variances.
• Assist with budget-to-actual spending analysis by identifying material differences and helping the team understand the transactions behind them.
• Communicate the status of assignments, open questions, and potential issues in a timely and professional manner.
What success looks like
• Reconciliations and supporting schedules are accurate, organized, and ready for review.
• Potential errors or unexpected trends are identified and brought forward with useful context.
• Financial requests receive clear, reliable information within agreed timelines.
• Colleagues can count on you to manage priorities and follow through on commitments.
Qualifications

• 1–3 years of general accounting experience.
• Intermediate understanding of US GAAP and its application to accounting practices.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
• Ability to work and communicate professionally with all levels of the organization.
Preferred experience
Experience in a manufacturing and/or multi-location environment.
