Core ValuesExplore our core values here: https://eatmila.com/pages/careersJob SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, account reconciliations and retailer deduction work.Duties/ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor invoices in Bill.com, including coding, matching to POs and receipts, and approval routingManage 3-way match through FulfilManage vendor setup, W-9s and 1099sReconcile vendor statementsReview credit card transactions for receipts and accurate codingInvoice customersApply cash and remittances and research short-paysOwn the AR aging and follow up on past-due accountsSet up new customers in accounting systems and maintain credit termsPrepare journal entries for accrualsReconcile the bank, credit card and clearing accounts monthlyReconcile the Bill.com clearing accountProvide status on all aging A/R and A/PTrack and reconcile customer deductions, chargebacks, promotions and trade spendManage month end accruals and assigned balance sheet reconciliationsManage the 1099 processDocument processes and help strengthen internal controlsAssist with system integrations, automation and ad hoc analysisThe position requires minimal travelThe position is 100% remote Other duties as assignedRequired Skills & AbilitiesSolid grasp of GAAP, accrual accounting and the full close cycleHands-on experience with full-cycle AP and ARStrong Excel skills: lookups, pivot tables, working with large data exportsDetail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning deadlinesFamiliarity with Fulfil, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Ramp and Glimpse a plusExperience with retailer EDI invoicing, deductions and trade spend (Costco, Walmart, UNFI, Kehe) preferredInterest in automation, SQL or BI tools, and a desire to use AI to build better processesEducation & Experience2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, CPG or foodBachelor’s degree in accounting preferredWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis is a remote position working from a home office!
