What You'll Do In this role, you'll support our animal care teams by: Assisting with the daily care and well-being of animals. Cleaning and maintaining animal housing to support a healthy environment. Safely moving animals and supplies throughout the facility, including operating a motorized transport buggy when trained. Supporting animal husbandry activities as directed by experienced team members. Maintaining clean and organized work areas. Following animal welfare, biosecurity, workplace safety, and company procedures. Working independently while collaborating with a supportive team. Helping wherever needed to support the success of daily operations. Requirements What We're Looking For We're looking for students who: Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Take pride in doing quality work. Care about animal welfare and maintaining a clean environment. Can work independently and as part of a team. Follow instructions carefully and pay attention to detail. Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Communicate respectfully with coworkers and supervisors. No previous animal care experience is required—we'll provide the training you need to be successful. Schedule & Pay School Year Monday through Friday: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturdays: 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Summer Additional hours are available based on business needs. Pay $17.50 per hour Work Environment This is an active, hands-on position where you'll spend much of your day moving throughout our facilities. Team members can expect to: Perform physical work, including lifting, moving, and cleaning. Work in environments with varying temperatures. Interact with animals throughout the workday. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection when needed. Operate a motorized transport buggy after receiving appropriate training. Why Marshall Farms?
