Description

The group you’ll be a part of Customer Support Business Group The impact you’ll make As a Process Engineering Intern at Lam, are a vital part of the team in actively supporting process development, product development, and research and development (R&D). You’ll set up processing equipment, conduct technical tests and experiments, process test runs, and present findings to optimize yield. Your technical expertise supports process development, contributing to Lam’s commitment to innovation. In this role, you will directly contribute to process demonstrations and engineering projects for the Customer Support Business Group for both 2300 and Legacy Lam's etch tools. What you’ll do Supports Process Engineers in preparation for wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) tests, equipment setup, experiments, data collection, and sample submissions. Operates processing equipment and advanced tools with recipes defined by engineering teams to collect experiment results, capture measurements (e.g. thin film, CD, XSEM, other metrology tools pending on job assignment) and chemistry properties analysis. Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and schematics of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield optimization areas. Provides technical assistance to process development teams and process engineers. Assist in technical troubleshooting and improvement opportunities of the application lab tools and experiment setups. Other duties as assigned based on project needs and business requirements. Who we’re looking for Currently enrolled and obtaining a BS in an engineering or science major (Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering) Preferred qualifications Ability to work in a clean room environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE), cleanroom suit, or smock. Foundational communication skills, reading and writing, in English. Ability to work a shift schedule. Salary CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $29.75 - $40.25. The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
