Survey Technician/CAD

We specialize in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. nWe are currently looking for and experience Estimator to join our Arizona Office. nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESnnParticipation in all aspects of the bid/estimating process, including reviewing plans and specs, soliciting and negotiating prices.nWork as part of a team, as well as cultivate relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, architects and engineers.nEstimating support for ProjectsnAssists in the pricing and bidding of projects.nActively participates in the estimate review process.nCollects and maintains bid information for future reference. nKeep current with the latest estimating technology and techniques.nAny and all other duties assigned. nnPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTnnThis position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc. nnPOSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKnnThis is a full-time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand. Occasional Travel may be required.nnKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDnnProficient with estimating software such as Hard Dollar prefered.nBackground in water/wastewater industry preferred.nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.nStrong computer and communication skills required.nAbility to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.nMust be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision.nMust be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write EnglishnnMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSnnHigh School Diploma or GED required. nBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related Major preferred.nAt least 1 years of related experience required.nnAAP/EEO STATEMENTnMGC Contractors is an equal employment opportunity employer and, as such, we consider individuals for employment according to their abilities and performance.
