Technical Project Analyst: PMO & Security
Operations
The Team & Your Role
This role sits at the intersection of project execution and information
security operations. You will support MACOM's Information Security team by
helping build out a PMO function, covering the dashboards that track security
initiatives, the processes that keep projects on schedule, and the standards
that scale the program over time. This position is designed to develop
well-rounded project management skills, with the expectation that you will grow
into independently managing projects as you gain experience.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and apply core
project management skills including scope definition, scheduling, risk
tracking, and stakeholder communication across active security initiatives.
Support project managers
in planning and executing projects, with increasing ownership over time as
skills and familiarity with the team's portfolio grow.
Build and maintain PMO
dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI, Airtable, ServiceNow, or
similar platforms to provide real-time visibility into project status,
milestones, resource utilization, and risk across the security portfolio.
Support the Information
Security team in tracking deliverables, deadlines, dependencies, and
action items across concurrent initiatives.
Collect, clean, and
synthesize project data from multiple sources to produce accurate and
actionable status reports for stakeholders.
Assist in coordinating
cross-functional meetings, capturing meeting minutes, and following up on
open items to maintain project momentum.
Contribute to the design
and documentation of PMO processes, templates, and governance standards
that will serve as the foundation of the program.
Identify gaps in current
project tracking workflows and recommend tooling or process improvements
to increase team efficiency.
Support the evaluation
and potential implementation of PPM (Project Portfolio Management) tooling
to centralize and scale program visibility across the security
organization.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's
degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering Management,
Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Familiarity with project
management concepts (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies).
Experience building
dashboards or reports using tools such as Power BI, Airtable, Excel, or
similar platforms.
Strong organizational
skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously.
Nice to Have: Exposure
to PPM or work management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Smartsheet,
Jira, Monday.com, MS Project), basic familiarity with information
security concepts, and knowledge of data visualization best practices.
