Valid Drivers’ License required; CDL license preferred.   Salary range for Technicians (depending on knowledge and experience) can range from $45,000-$150,000+   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with company and factory standards. * Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair. * Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. * Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. * Communicates with service advisor/leadman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. * Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. * Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events. * Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. * Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. * Any other duties as outlined by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman. * Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. * Other duties as directed by management.   KNOWLEDGE AND ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS Employee safety is important at RWC. The technician position is a safety sensitive position and falls under the requirements of RWC Drug and Alcohol policy. * Hands on experience as a diesel technician preferably with dealership experience * Navistar Engine, Cummins Engine Certification preferred. * ASE Certification preferred. * Diagnostic skill/experience & attention to detail. * Considerable knowledge of the design, adjustment, operations, maintenance, and repair of diversified mechanical and electrical equipment including light, medium, and heavy diesel engines. * Valid Drivers License Required.   Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a pre-hire drug and alcohol test.
