Termite and Rodent Residential Pest Control Technician

Apply Job Type Full-time Description ABC Home & Commercial Services is seeking a motivated and dependable Termite & Rodent (TR) Residential Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role is focused on providing professional termite and rodent services to residential customers while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has previous termite and/or rodent experience, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working independently in a variety of residential environments. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated to build a long-term career with ABC. Previous TR experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with general pest control experience and strong transferable skills may also be considered. Key Responsibilities: Perform residential termite and rodent inspections. Identify signs of termite activity, rodent activity, entry points, damage, and other potential pest issues. Perform rodent exclusion and control services, including identifying and addressing potential entry points. Safely apply pesticides, treatments, and other pest control products according to label requirements and company procedures. Perform climbing on ladders, walking on roofs, and crawling in tight spaces as needed to access infested areas. Educate homeowners on treatment recommendations, prevention strategies, and ongoing service needs. Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and treatment documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain and properly care for company vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials. Manage an assigned route efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards. Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and other technicians. Identify opportunities for additional services when appropriate. Complete follow-up services and return visits as needed. Requirements Prior experience as a Termite Rodent (TR) Technician or similar pest control role. (Preferred) Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Ability to walk on roofs and perform physical tasks required for pest inspections and treatments. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to use smart device and navigate through multiple applications Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have a driving record of 5+ years . Must meet ABC’s driving and MVR requirements. Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings and Physical. Education Requirements High school diploma/GED required Licensing Requirements Hold state license and/or be training to become a licensed Residential Pest Control Technician Pass the Texas Department of Agriculture Examination for the Pest Control and Termite category within 12 months from the date of hire. Attend CEU classes to maintain state licenses Physical Requirements Frequently required to carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Frequently required to work in any weather climate. Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently required to work in various indoor and outdoor environments while safely performing the essential functions of the position.
