What You Will Do Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).​ As a Test Engineering Co-op at Collins Aerospace, you will be responsible for supporting test setup, execution, and general technical operations across all onsite programs. Work as part of an engineering team in developing, testing, and qualifying various aircraft escape systems and components. Set up and operate high‑speed cameras (Ametek Phantom and others) to capture test events, including fixed‑position and tracking applications. Support safe handling and setup of energetic propulsion devices such as HVAR rocket motors and small explosive initiators under guidance from staff. Collaborate with engineers on building, modifying, and preparing test fixtures and test articles based on program requirements. Qualifications You Must Have Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session. Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
