About the Role As an TA/BT Flex at Blue Bird Day , you will provide support and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's cognitive, social, emotional, adaptive, and developmental growth. Responsibilities: Provide individualized therapy Collect data on programming Provide support during therapeutic rotations Implement evidence-based intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA Collaborate daily with teachers, physical and speech therapists, and social workers Document progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care Knowledge and Skills Required: Associate's degree or equivalent college credit (60 credits) required; Bachelor's degree preferred Completion of 40-hour training of ASD and behavioral related subjects/evidence-based techniques Experience working with children or clients with special needs required Active BACB certification preferred Working Environment and Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc. Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe. Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company. Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.
